the first season focused on the baltimore city police investigation of the bakksdale cartel. The investigation was all about Detective Jimmy McNatti. During the trial of Diangira Bakksdale, key witnesses retracted their confessions on an ad hoc basis, leading to the successful release of Diangira. After the trial, McNati revealed to Judge Daniel Ferran that the witness was probably the defendant's uncle——the threats made by yvonne bakksdale ' s men had to be changed, as he saw yvonne ' s deputy, sting bell, and several other gang members at the trial. mcnati also told judge frank that the barksdales were suspected of large drug dealings and multiple unresolved murders, but no one was investigating their crimes. judge ferran then complained to the senior police station, which was embarrassing, and they ordered the formation of a task force to investigate barksdale. however, the senior level did not really want to investigate the case, but merely to falsify the judge. a game started between the police officers who wanted to investigate the case and the superiors who obstructed the investigation, while the commander of the task force, cedric daniels, was caught in the middle of a dilemma. at the same time, there are contradictions within the barksdale group. the fighting between them and omar litt, who was responsible for the looting of drug traffickers, which resulted in numerous deaths and injuries, was of further police concern. during this period, dianjira was concerned about her own criminal life and the consequent influence on others. there has been little progress in carrying out street arrests and hoping to obtain leads from the street drug dealer, warren. eventually, the team began to use electronic listening devices to monitor public telephones and pagers used by gang members. however, it led to investigations into the top-described restricted areas, touching on issues such as political donations [151] [152]. following the arrest of a small leader of yvonne ' s men by another group of police officers, the superior requested that the case be closed. detective kima gregos was wounded during the operation [149] [150], which provoked the emotion of other police officers, resulting in a panic. as a result, the barksdale group suspected that it was being investigated by the police and began clearing all suspected persons and abandoning public telephones and pagers. At the behest of Stinge Bell, Warren was shot and killed by his childhood partners, Bodi and Putt. Diangira was arrested while transferring large quantities of drugs to his uncle, and when he learned about the death of Valence, he decided to confess to his uncle and Stinge. But his mother advised him to focus on the family career. In the end, the Task Force was light on Ivan, and his men, Wibbit Brace, took the blame for most of the murders, some of which were not even Wibbit ' s. Stinge escaped prosecution and continued to operate the criminal kingdom of Barksdale. Both Daniels and McNati were transferred to the cold court for disobeying orders from their superiors。
