Army John (Channing Tatum) accidentally met the vacationing female student Savannah (Amanda Seyfed) while on vacation in his hometown, and the two soon fell in love. As an adult, John had little communication with her, who was obsessed with collecting coins, but Savannah was very friendly to John. The vacation between the two ended soon. When they parted, John promised Savannah that his service would end in one year, and the two would never be separated again. Overseas garrisons often camped in some remote areas. John and Savannah could only express their feelings to each other through letters. In those loving words, the two of them longed to stay together forever. When the 9/11 incident broke out and John had to extend his service, the relationship between the two was in crisis, but they soon reconciled. John did not receive a letter from Savannah for a long time after returning to the army, but it was the breakup letter from Savannah that he had been waiting for all night. Before the pain of broken love could heal, John was unfortunately injured. At the last moment, John actually thought of collecting those coins. A few years later, when John saw Savannah again, he discovered the secret behind the breakup letter... The film is adapted from the 11th novel "The Breakup Letter" by Nicholas Sparks, the "King of Pure Love Novels".
