The beautiful Marcilde is thirty years old. She makes a living by repairing oil paintings. Her boyfriend Paul was once a professor at a Paris art school, and he often encouraged Marcilde to create some of his own creations. Marcilde Alice lives a monotonous life in a construction workshop. Since childhood, the sisters have had almost no resemblance to each other. At the funeral, the two men met again. One day, Marcilde was driving Paul's son Thomas home, and an accident happened on the way. Marcilde suffered minor injuries, but Thomas died at the scene. Marcilde suddenly lost hope of living. She did not see Paul again and hid in her home. The only thing that can save Marcilde from despair is painting, and Alice gives her great encouragement. But Alice did not tell anyone what happened, and she cared for the half-crazy Marcilde like a child. To find out what happened, Paul hired a private detective, but to no avail. By chance, Alice's friend Laurent noticed an oil painting in Alice's home. Laurent thought the artwork was by Alice. In desperation, Alice pretended to be the so-called artist. Then, Laurent became her friend and opened a large exhibition for her. Alice is becoming more and more confident and enjoying all these honors, but at this time, Marcilde is living in another world. Until one day, the whole thing came to light: the priest in the monastery learned about it in the newspaper. Marcilde stopped painting and began creating frescoes on the monastery walls. In a moment of desperation, Marcilde gave Alice the last oil painting she had given to Deputy Paul before the car accident. Finally, a miracle happened: Paul recognized the work when he visited an exhibition of Alice's paintings. He follows Alice and finds Marcilde. Paul never stopped loving Marcilde, so he forgave her, and he helped Marcilde walk out of the monastery and out of despair. While Marcilde held her first painting exhibition in a distant place, Alice prepared to use the same method to capture the heart of a very talented young painter...
