This is the final part of the Qatsi documentary trilogy. Qatsi is the Indian indigenous word Hopi, which means life. Due to financial difficulties, the film was only released in 2002. It took ten years to make, but it was not as well received as the previous two works powaqqatsi (1988) and koyaanisqatsi (1983). The music is still composed by Philip Gla, and Yo-Yo Ma plays the cello solo in this film. The famous film critic Ger Ebert said: "i he pblems with "naqoyqatsi" as a film, but as a music video it''s rather remarkable." ("Naqoyqatsi has many problems as a film, but it is quite good as an MTV.") In 1983, commissioned by the IRS (Institute of Regional Study), director Regio made a non-narrative TV film. Based on this, the first stunning work in the Qatsi series, "Imbalanced Life" (Koyaanis Qatsi), came into being. born. After receiving strong support and promotion from Lucas, Coppola and others, "Unbalanced Life" became a sensation at the time. Five years later, the second part of the qatsi series, "Powaqqatsi" (Powaqqatsi), was born. Although it did not achieve a major breakthrough based on the first part, it was still a standard work. The birth of "War Life" went through many ups and downs. Although "The Unbalanced Life" and "The Metamorphosis" both received very good reviews, the director still faced serious financial problems during the filming. In this case, although Paramount has released DVDs for the first two films, Regio still insists on taking back the copyright and asks fans who want to buy DVDs to contact him individually for a price of US$150 each as a guarantee for the third film. Filming expenses are supported. Finally, with the support of Miramax, the famous director Soderbergh (", Lies, Videotape", "Network", "Never Compromise") served as the executive producer. After more than 10 years, the film was finally completed work. It is full of shots that seem to be cut together accidentally. One is the sky, the other is Dolly the sheep with strange eyes, and the world map, stock market, numbers, and people come and go... Then the police came, and waving people. Sticks, long knives and guns, and bullets whizzing by... As the camera turned, we saw the boxer attacking and falling again, • and the beard, and the deformed computer, constantly arguing pointlessly. What’s next? Noises and silent military parades flowed, cars slowly entered, gambling, roller coasters, fast food, speed, the Internet...the last thing left was death, while keyboards and letters were flying in those elegant environments, cars came, lights Come on, the car lights come over, someone is crying...
