In the near future: A powerful global terrorist force attacks the world's largest oil reserve base, causing oil prices to skyrocket and further worsening the global economic crisis. This turbulent situation caused a lot of trouble. Shortages of gasoline and food supplies and continued reductions in welfare payments have angered ordinary people. The fragile social cohesion that was originally used to bridge the gap between rich and poor has now tended to disintegrate. At the same time, there are extremist forces on the left and right eager to reignite public outrage - in part to gain a foothold in the electoral vote. The extreme right-wingers formed a new political party with Maximilian Schneier at the helm. His skillful use of huge investments in publicity generated support from many sources. Schneier is an enigmatic figure: power - his only interest - transformed him from a radical left-wing activist into a power seeker. Schneier promised to establish a nation free from other nations. In order to prevent this terrible thing from happening and control the situation that is about to deteriorate into a civil war, secret support is given to the newly established candidate party that is in a dominant position. They must choose the weaker one between two formidable enemies. And they decided to make a desperate move: They turned to an old friend who had been out of politics for many years, Rolf Haas, a contemporary of Schnell's. This top-secret plan is still operating. From now on, Haas has to work with his former lover, special police officer Nadine Manz, but for her, Haas always has a feeling that he can't let go of. Their aim was to demoralize Schnell and to give strength and support to the left-winger Franz Gerais, even though he was not a decisive figure (or rather a hesitant). But before that, a completely different plan was underway in secret.
