Synopsis：White history teacher Dan Dunn (played by Ryan Gosling) teaches in a dilapidated public middle school in Brooklyn, New York. Most of his students are black. Dan is talented and creative, loves students, does not follow the syllabus, believes in Hegelian dialectics, and believes that historical qualities are formed by the action of opposite forces. He makes the boring history on the page vivid and vivid, and encourages students to think about history and the laws that govern the world around them.
