Synopsis： A story about David Collier（Lee Ingleby) lives in nightmares. He was charged with the murder of his wife Tara and has been in prison for seven years. He lost everything he loved: his wife, two children, and his house. He has always maintained that he is innocent, but he is still unable to escape the fate of being imprisoned for life. All Tara's family and friends despise him, only his brother Phil Ryan) will speak for him. Phil gave up his career and life and vowed to prove David's innocence at all costs. Tara's sister Alice Norris and her husband Rob Rowlins is convinced that David is guilty, that they have no children and that David and Tara's children are now raised by them. They inherited David ' s property, enjoyed a comfortable life and became a successful family in the eyes of others. When Tara was alive, everything was different. Alice, of course, did not want to believe that David was innocent, so Alice was very disturbed when the news came that David might appeal and re-examine. William Beech（Nigel Lindsay, the detective who was in charge of investigating Tara's murder, would have been a serious blow to David's career and life if he had turned it over. Not only would he be discredited, he might even be suspended.
