Synopsis：The film tells the tragic stories of seven women. The woman received her infant daughter from the hospital, but she was not happy because the ultrasound showed that she was pregnant with a boy, but now she was caught off guard. The local custom of favoring boys over girls made her feel like she was in limbo. A girl who had just been released from prison and her companion searched for money everywhere. After going through all kinds of hardships, they collected the money, but in the end they were too timid to board the train home. The unmarried girl was kicked out of the house. After her boyfriend died, she had to have an abortion. After she was released from prison, she discovered in middle age that her man had cheated on her. The girl became a nurse and tried her best to help her, but her marriage was in a deadlock... The film won the Golden Lion Award for Best Film at the 57th Venice Festival.
