Synopsis：David (Tim Roth) is a nurse who specializes in taking care of critically ill patients. He feeds them, gives them showers, helps them grow up, and does things that even his closest relatives would not want to do. He is a taciturn but very conscientious man who takes great care of his patients. When a patient dies, he feels very sad. After attending the patient's funeral, he begins to find a new patient, establishing a relationship that is destined to end in tragedy. In order to relieve mental stress, he runs every day. David takes care of patient Marta, a patient whose cancer has spread and needs chemotherapy. She was a little wary of David at first, but later she learned from a friend that David also had a son with terminal cancer, and she completely trusted him. When Marta could no longer tolerate the severe side effects of chemotherapy, she asked David to help her live in peace. David rejected her at first, but after some hesitation he changed his mind and helped her fulfill her wish.
