Synopsis：20 years ago, the powerful Roman Empire sent 5,000 elite soldiers to form the Roman Ninth Legion, but they mysteriously disappeared in the Scottish Highlands. Marcus (Channing Tatum), the son of the leader of the Ninth Legion, is brave and adept at fighting and leads the troops on the front line. Because he was seriously injured in a war, he had to stay at his uncle's house to recuperate. While recovering from his injuries, Marcus rescued a slave Esco (Jamie Bell) in the arena and adopted him as a human. Soon after, Marcus heard that someone from a tribe in the north had discovered an eagle staff that was lost that year. Determined to win back his honor, Marcus decided to go to the north to retrieve the eagle staff. Marcus set out with Esco, who was familiar with the northern environment. Along the way, the relationship between the two experienced various ups and downs and mutual tests. Especially when they met the vicious Prince Seer (played by Tahar Rahim), Marcus discovered that Esko's identity was far more than just an ordinary slave. Who controls the Eagle Staff, and how was the Ninth Legion destroyed? The truth becomes more confusing...
