Synopsis：The film is adapted from the children's picture book of the same name published by the painter Maurice Sendak in 2013. The little boy Max (Max Lakes) is full of energy and has nowhere to vent, and he is dissatisfied with Claire's (Pepita Emmechs) neglect and (Catherine Keener) discipline. During a quarrel, Max ran away from home and drove a boat alone to the river. After sailing on the sea for two days and two nights, he arrived at a mysterious island. There are a group of tall, plush monsters with horns on their heads living on the island. Some of them have bad tempers, some are docile, and some are timid and afraid of getting into trouble. In order to avoid being eaten, Max lied to the monsters that he was the king of the Vikings, and he wanted to be their king when he came to the island. The simple monsters believed in Max, happily regarded him as their king, and built new homes on the island. But to Max's surprise, there was a conflict between the monster named Carlo (voiced by James Gandolfini) and the monster KW (voiced by Lauren Amberts)...
