Synopsis:Karen (Haret Andersson) who inherited the disease was hospitalized and was arranged by writer David (Gunnar örnstrand) to recuperate on an island. Karen's boyfriend Martin (Max von Sydow) is a doctor. Their relationship is at a low point at this time. Martin believes that Karen may be cured.
