Synopsis：Hammerfest, the northernmost city in Norway, is located on the coast of the Arctic Ocean. This small city experiences polar night every year. The sun never rises below the horizon. The city wanders between the long night and the eternal dawn. Niels, a natural gas engineer from Germany, brought his wife Maria and son here, hoping to save his family that was about to be broken up. But the new environment doesn't seem to be helping their relationship. Nils worked all night and had a lover outside. Maria works as a night nurse in a hospice, and her son Marcus, who is in a period of restless youth, has a tense relationship with his new classmates. But one night, a sudden car accident gradually melted the three cold hearts. The relationship between the couple, which was once at risk, began to change as they shared the responsibility for the incident, and completed the transition from panic to escape to guilt to hesitation to repentance in each other's company.
