Synopsis:Stingo (Peter Macnicol), a young writer from the South, came to Brooklyn to make a living and met Sophie (Meryl Streep) and Meryl Streep who lived upstairs. Nathan (Kevin Kline). They enthusiastically expressed their wish to make friends with the young writer, and Stingo readily accepted their invitation. After gradually getting along, they established a close and friendly relationship with each other. In the process, Stingo learned that Sophie often cried sadly because of Nathan's suspicion and rage, but she loved Nathan very much. What worried her most was that Nathan's future life without her would be unimaginable. Sophie is from Poland. She came here after World War II, met Nathan and became dependent on him. Sophie was imprisoned in a concentration camp during the war, and she, her husband, and children all died in the war. Regarding her own suffering and the tragic fate of her relatives, and the hell-like genocide in this war, how should Sophie's spirit and body make choices...
