Synopsis:The play is set in New York in the 1980s and tells the story of a man (played by Benedict Cumberbatch) desperately searching for his son. His nine-year-old son disappeared one morning on his way to school. Vincent is one of New York's leading puppeteers and the creator of the popular children's television show "Good Day Sun." As he struggled to cope with the loss of his son Edgar, he became increasingly bitter and erratic. He is full of self-loathing and guilt about Edgar's disappearance, and his son Eric, the blue monster puppet, becomes his spiritual sustenance. He firmly believed that if he could get Eric to appear on television, Edgar would come home. Vincent's behavior alienates him from his family, colleagues, and detectives trying to help him, leaving Eric as his only ally in the search for his son.
