Synopsis:1970, Christmas Eve. The female Isabel (played by Penélope Cruz) is about to give birth. In desperation, she risks her life to stop the car. As a result, she gives birth to a son in the car, named Victor. Twenty years later, Victor fell in love with Elena, the girl with whom he had an affair, but the date was rejected. Angry, Victor comes to visit and is shot by Elena, who is addicted to drugs. When the two were in a stalemate, police officers Sancho and David (Javier Bardem) happened to pass by. Earlier, Sancho, who was driving drunk, was confiding in his colleagues about his wife. During the confrontation, David was injured by Victor, resulting in paralysis of his lower limbs, and the latter was imprisoned.
