Synopsis：In the winter of 1995 in Detroit, musicians gathered every weekend at a hip-hop club called the shelter for one-on-one one-minute performance competitions. Jimmy Smith (Eminem) was an alternative white among many black musicians. Although he is very capable, he gets stuck every time he performs on stage and only gets boos and jeers. In addition to having to brave the embarrassment of being kicked off the stage by a booing crowd, Jimmy Smith also had to deal with the embarrassment of living in a small, cramped trailer with (Kim Basinger) and his half-father. His boyfriend, the parallel relationship between black and white people, his work and relationship, etc., are also all pressures on him. He tried to break through the constraints of family and group and express his anger and dissatisfaction with life through music. However, he first had to solve the problem by overcoming his timidity.
