Synopsis:Before a person dies, his life will pass by quickly before his eyes; "Reminiscences of Lost Time" is about recalling everything in this life at the time of death. As consciousness flows, I look at the photos and recall the past events related to this person. From a small action/item in the past events, I recall other past events related to it. Through free association over and over again, I outline the life of the protagonist Marcel in a complex and intertwined manner. . To present the masterpiece of the original work "In Search of Lost Time" in a short film of 2 hours and 40 minutes is undoubtedly a coincidence. Therefore, the director cleverly captured the sense of stream of consciousness in the original work and made the audience feel like they are in a dream. , as Marcel's thoughts jump, he repeatedly travels through the shadows of various experiences in Marcel's long life, feeling the mystery of memories, but it is also easy to get lost in them. From time to time, there are surreal scene changes in the film, such as Marcel sitting on a chair and the news screen sliding in front of him; Marcel suddenly slipped halfway on the street and stopped when his body fell forward. The background kept changing, and then he Sliding to the next scene; or entering a different space where statues are scattered, the audience seems to be in a dream, which also fully expresses the "reminiscence", which is actually very similar to "dreaming". Still images and statue images constantly appear in the film, which further expresses the intention of stopping the auspicious light and holding on to memories. When reminiscing, one cannot help but raise a dialectic about "memory": "If the memories brought by forgetting no longer have any connection with the present, we can instantly experience a new atmosphere. In fact, we have already experienced this...every day A thought like this always takes me away from the present..." The ending of the film also uses the story of the sculptor Savigny to express the idea of "eternity". As long as it has happened before, it is eternity. It will not disappear, it will just never come back, so it can be vividly remembered.
